Proofing Options
A physical proof is a hard copy of the project that is printed out and shipped to you for you to confirm color via FEDEX, we supply a return envelope, and we will begin production when we receive the approved proof back. We use this proof for color matching, and we want to ensure that both of us are viewing the same piece.
A virtual proof is a PDF file that we send to you to confirm the files on the project. This is the most expeditious way to proof and approve a project.
Brochure Fold Options
The choice of fold depends on factors such as the amount of content, the desired presentation style, and the overall design of the brochure. Different folds impact how information flows and the placement of images and text. It’s important to design with the fold structure in mind to maintain a logical and visually appealing layout. Download our easy-to-use templates to help with the design process and to accurately place your text and images.
A bi-fold brochure is folded in half, creating two panels on each side. This fold is simple and effective for presenting information in a sequential manner. Bi-fold brochures are commonly used for menus, invitations, and event programs.
A tri-fold brochure is folded into three sections, with the two outer panels folded inward to cover the central panel. This fold creates six panels in total, providing ample space for presenting detailed information. Tri-fold brochures are versatile and widely used for marketing materials, product catalogs, and informational brochures.
A Z-fold brochure is folded into a zigzag pattern, with alternating folds creating three panels on each side. This fold allows for easy navigation through the content and is suitable for presenting information in a structured format. Z-fold brochures are commonly used for informational guides, product brochures, and instructional manuals.
An accordion fold brochure is folded in a continuous zigzag pattern, with each panel folding alternately in opposite directions. This fold creates a series of parallel panels that can be unfolded like an accordion. Accordion fold brochures are ideal for presenting content that needs to be organized into sections or categories.
A gate fold brochure is folded with two outer panels that open like gates to reveal a central panel. This fold creates a dramatic and impactful presentation, making it ideal for showcasing photographs, graphics, or product images. Gate fold brochures are often used for product launches, special promotions, or high-end marketing materials.
The single sheet of paper is folded twice to create the double gate fold shape. The first fold brings the left and right edges of the paper towards the center, forming two parallel creases. The second fold brings the top and bottom edges of the paper towards the center, creating the gate-like opening.
The design of a V-fold brochure is divided into six panels: three on the front and three on the back. When unfolded, the brochure reveals a total of six sections for presenting information and visuals.
